I get asked this question a lot.
The definition of a viral video is a bit sketchy, but to me it means any video that offers a compelling or repeatable story that encourages people to pass it on electronically to a friend or to a buddy list. It moves from person to person and weaves it way across the web. It is a must see because of its content whether it is funny, sad, stupid, or educational.
The following link connects you with a truly viral video with 16,156,980 views and more on the way. Why is it so popular? I think it is because others think so. The crowd (or mob) has made it that way.
