Creativity Subverts Conventionality
My friend and author, Mahdy Khaiyat, encourages me to express myself freely and to let my creativity flow with abandon. He says that if I do this I will subvert conventionality. I agree.
His book is called "A Cornucopia of Aphorisms" is a collection of aphorisms that are short, philosophic or moral observations based on the his life experiences and philosophical reflections. The aphorisms are designed to be thought-provoking. He is intensely creative and spontaneous. We can be mid-conversation and he will suddenly start writing an aphorism as if I am not there. I am not bothered because I understand that when the words come one must record them.
Creativity may be the crude 0il of innovation and a basic requirement for successful entrepreneurship. While many people have great ideas, few apply them or put them into practice. That application of imaginative thought is what defines the entrepreneur.
*Wikipedia defines an aphorism as a concise, terse, laconic, or memorable expression of a general truth or principle.
